Amazon has made news headlines by advancing their pharmacy efforts and jumping into online prescription fulfillment. Recent circumstances have also led to advancements in other areas (e.g. telemedicine), but big advancements in such a heavily regulated space can initiate bigger questions like how will it actually work? Are we entering into the “The Jetsons” era? What isn’t currently permitted (and could it ever be)?
In 2017, I explored the possibilities of an Amazon Pharmacy on the Gavel & Pestle Podcast on the Pharmacy Podcast Network. We released a series of podcasts and additional content examining the state of the industry and where it could take us.
